Outlook add-in
Download the production manifest, then install IWASE Japanese Translator for one mailbox or for the organization.
What the file installs
- Name in Outlook
- IWASE Japanese Translator
- Button
- IWASE Translator
- Task pane
- https://addin-translator.iwase-tools.eu
- Permission
- Read and write the open mailbox message
Outlook asks for an organization account before the task pane opens. A personal Outlook.com mailbox often hides “Add from file”.
Install for your mailbox
- Download the manifest. Keep the file; Outlook reads it from your computer.
- Open Outlook on the web and open any message.
- On Home, choose Applications. If the label is hidden, open … and choose Applications.
- Choose Get add-ins, then My add-ins.
- Under Custom add-ins, choose Add a custom add-in, then Add from file.
- Select the downloaded manifest and confirm.
- Open a message again and launch IWASE Translator. Sign in with your organization account when Outlook asks.
Install for the organization
Use this when people should receive the add-in without uploading the file themselves. You need a Microsoft 365 administrator.
- Download the same manifest.
- Open the Microsoft 365 admin center.
- Go to Settings, then Integrated apps.
- Choose Upload custom apps, then Upload a manifest file (.xml) from device.
- Select the downloaded manifest.
- Assign the people or groups who should get the add-in, then finish the deployment.
- Wait until Outlook shows the button. A new assignment can take several hours, and Outlook desktop may need a restart.
After a new release
Download the manifest again. For one mailbox, remove IWASE Japanese Translator from My add-ins and add the new file. For the organization, upload the new file in Integrated apps. Outlook keeps the previous copy until the manifest version changes or the add-in is installed again.
